Cantilever and Sliding Gates
With more than 15 years’ experience, we manufacture commercial and residential sliding gates to the highest standards, using only the best quality materials. We are also able to add different infills to match existing fencing you may have. Our metal sliding gates are finished to the highest standard using a hot-dipped galvanising and powder coating process, to a RAL number of your choice. This not only enhances the appearance of our products but ensures longevity and reduces ongoing maintenance. All of our automated gates meet the requirements of the Door and Hardware Federation (DHF).
Electric cantilever sliding gates are by far the most popular in our commercial sliding gate range. The Cantilever design means that there is no major excavation, ground track or exposed wheels to get blocked by dirt, leaves or snow, or suffer vehicle damage. Fine counterbalancing allows the gate to slide with minimal effort. Cantilever gates are suitable for both commercial, industrial and residential properties. They are ideal for security, traffic control or where surfaces are uneven. The roadway is free from rails since the gate is supported by rollers which slide in a tubular track fitted to the bottom of the gate. Our sliding gates are made to measure and manufactured in-house with only limited restriction to the length or height. Without the need for an unsightly track in the floor, the unique cantilever system delivers maximum security whilst maintaining the pleasing aesthetics.
Sliding Gates with wheels and track are a simple and more cost-effective option and are popular in most residential situations. The bespoke design gives our customers the flexibility to have a gate which is visually pleasing combined with the reliability, safety and space-saving element that comes with sliding gates.

East Yorkshire Shutters have been supplying and installing electric gates for the educational community for over 15 years. These have ranged from single personnel school gates at primary schools for pedestrian control, up to fully automatic vehicle gates for academies.

Automatic Barriers
For commercial and industrial premises we provide a range barriers to suit a variety of applications.
These are fast acting systems, moving from open to closed positions in 3 to 8 seconds and suitable for busy entrances where an automated gate would be too slow.
